Retour sur le webinaire : le circuit du médicament en SSIAD

On Friday, October 11th, 2024, the Regional Health Agency (ARS) and the Regional Committee for the Appropriate Use of Medicines (OMEDIT) of Île-de-France led a webinar on the medication process in nursing care offices at home (SSIAD). This event, which was highly anticipated by healthcare professionals, was a great success and provided valuable insights and tools for improving the medication process in SSIADs.

During the webinar, the ARS and OMEDIT presented various tools to help SSIADs optimize their medication process. This included a medication administration record (MAR) template, a medication reconciliation form, and a medication error reporting form. These tools were designed to facilitate the proper management and documentation of medication in SSIADs, ensuring patient safety and efficient medication processes.

One of the key takeaways from the webinar was the importance of involving all healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, pharmacists, and caregivers, in the medication process. Collaboration and communication among team members are essential for ensuring the safe and effective use of medication in SSIADs. The webinar also stressed the importance of regularly reviewing and updating medication protocols, as well as conducting medication audits to identify any potential issues.

The webinar also highlighted the use of technology in the medication process. With the increasing digitalization of healthcare, SSIADs can now utilize electronic medication administration records (eMARs) to streamline their medication processes. This not only saves time and reduces the risk of errors, but also allows for easier communication between healthcare professionals, ensuring a more efficient and coordinated approach to medication management.

For those who were unable to attend the live webinar, a replay is now available on the ARS and OMEDIT websites. This provides a great opportunity for SSIADs to catch up on the valuable renseignement and tools presented during the event. Additionally, the replay can be shared with other healthcare professionals to spread the knowledge and improve medication processes in SSIADs across Île-de-France.

The ARS and OMEDIT’s initiative to hold this webinar demonstrates their commitment to continuously improving healthcare practices and patient outcomes. By providing SSIADs with the necessary tools and renseignement, they are empowering healthcare professionals to enhance the medication process and ultimately provide better care for patients.

In conclusion, the webinar on the medication process in SSIADs was a great success and has provided useful resources for healthcare professionals to improve their practices. The ARS and OMEDIT should be commended for their efforts in promoting patient safety and efficiency in medication management. We look forward to seeing the positive bruit of this initiative on SSIADs in the future.
